in no particular order.....
Lyle Lovett; Justin Townes Earl; Taj; Dr John; Colin Hay; Old Crow Medicine Show; Renee Geyer and Rockwiz (just to see all the 'know-it-alls' on this Board go head to head in a slanging match)

Definately Taj and John Mayall and perhaps the new discoveries I make. Just a point most of my highlights in BluesFest don't come from the Headliners but from the acts earlier in the day.

Also looking forward not to seeing Ben Harper

The Dr is in the House

interesting comment on jessica mauboy but
ive known and trusted peter nobles taste in music to know he doesnt book too many duds.
he booked jessica after seeing her at the deadly awards and was knocked out by her act .
maybe she wont fit the bluesfest mould, ive never seen her live, but ill give her a viewing before i judge.
ps no correspondence will be entered into.

I don't want to hang up my rock n roll shoes
I get a good time feeling every time I hear those blues.

after careful consideration and perusal of the lineup,i had to catagerize
1.acts into who i really must see(bands i know and love)
2.acts who through this forum and following research i want to see(bands that are new to me)
so far category 2 has over 20 acts, these include- poor mans whisky, lil band of gold, the band they couldnt hang etc.
3.acts im sure to stumble upon.

over 20 NEW acts in 5 days PLUS all the acts i love.
and now a FORTH announcement. -ya gotta love BLUESFEST.
P.S. SORRY FOR BEING TOO POSITIVE!!!

Charliebear I know we will see you at Imelda May,because according to her Gig Guide she is supporting Jamie Cullum on her current touring schedule.

"An artist never really chooses when and where they will play.It is for promoters to make offers. It comes down as to whether tours are financially viable." Quote John Mayall.
