A couple of sites i like to visit occasionally.

tauthal.com - are you listening? - http://www.tauthal.com/index.html
This week's artists include Cat Stevens AKA Yusuf Islam but now simply go's by the one word name Yusuf, as well as Leonard Cohen & Ravi Shankar, also referred to by the title "Pandit".

Daytrotter: The source for new music discovery and free MP3 downloads from the best emerging bands. - http://www.daytrotter.com/?utm_source=NL&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=091209DT

I found the description fo the Daytrotter site a little misleading as some of the artists on offer have been around quite a while.
This week offerings include Kris Kristofferson & Tori Amos. Not exactly new or emerging, but still good.

These 2 mainly streaming music

Wolfgang's Vault

stream online concerts from Billy Graham's archive, King Biscuit Hour, many others. Many old shows from East & West Filmore

films shows around Sydney at venues such as Enmore, Metro, Factory, Forum and streams them online audio & video.

This one for finding people with shows & trading, b&p of shows & also finding dates & set lists of shows

& these are some of the bit torrent sites for FLAC (lossless) & video downloads

these ones allow sharing of shows of taper friendly artists & non copyright material.

These have old shows, new shows, dime almost went into meltdown when Led Zeppelin's reunion show was up. Many shows from 60s, 70s. Vast range artists, quality can vary depending on if auduience taped, soundboard, fm etc. Mnay "liberated" bootlegs. Very addictive!!!

Dave Matthews' ATO Records launches new website and offers free 5-Song Sampler of new music from ATO artists: Drive-By Truckers, Rodrigo y Gabriela, John Butler Trio, Dawes as well as Alberta Cross, who will be touring as support with DMB for a few dates this summer.

I'd strongly recommend subscribing to the All Songs Considered podcast from NPR (see sydneyDMBfan's mail at the top of this topic) - lot's of new (and some old) music, interesting guest programmers (musicians usually) and quarterly discussions of that period's releases.
