Hi,

One of the things to be loved about BluesFest is it's chilled out rancho relox vibe. In saying this..whilst I think fold up chairs are a great idea I'm thinking there should be some guidelines created to ban them from remaining up when noone is actually sitting on them in standing areas. I have noticed for the CMC Rocks the Snowy festival in Thredbo there is a rule...

The Thredbo fest states:
STRICTLY NO CHAIRS
Although blankets and soft-seating is very welcome they are not allowed to be placed in the STANDING ROOM ONLY zone directly in front of the stage. The exclusion zone will be very clearly marked and if in doubt please ask security or go to the information area.
I think this is enforceable and would make the experience more pleasant for all involved. Too easy!

Anyone else agree?

Kath

Same rules should apply as per Photo taking, that is very logically sitting to the front and standing at the rear.

TOO EASY

I understand what you're saying. I think you've misunderstood me. I'm refering to randomly placed empty chairs people leave scattered through the Mojo stage area. I love that you can sit down at the other stages but in an area that clearly should be standing as surely you understand if you've seen acts like Seasick Steve, Ben Harper or Michael Franti at Mojo it's easy to comprehend why randomly left empty chairs throughout those kinds of crowds can be troublesome.

Oh gosh, you were talking about Mojo, the thought of etiquette or manners down there NEVER occurred to me
I'll have to think about this. :-{

Indeed GB, etiquette in MoJJJo- what a concept.

Does anyone remember my photo in Jambalaya this year? That's the problem- not random chairs but row on row banking from 12 feet from the stage to behind the mix!!!
