I think I know Michael Hunters Brothers, as they are all in the chemical business, following on from their father.

He is the Brother that lives at Manly.

I will definitely make a phone call in the morning to investigate this story

A lease is a piece of paper which can be varied like any other legal document, with the agreement of the parties to the contract.
The titles at 29 Buckleys Road are 5.929 ha and 68.43 ha.
Which differs from the 120 ha site on which the festival is said to be sited.
Yes I did notice the railway line on the map.
When I first came to Bluesfest I took the train.
Electric trains and electric cars are the way of the future.

Byron Bay to get world's first solar-powered train, courtesy of a coal baron

It could work but the housing must be under special orders of no domestic arguments during Bluesfest.

Heading out for the East Coast / Lord knows I've paid some dues gettin' through, / Tangled up in blues.

the solar powered train will be running from elements of Byron resort to behind the first sun caravan park...a distance of 3 klms. while I think it a good idea to get traffic out of Byron ,it is still getting resistance from some quarters.
it will be interesting to see what comes of this. while the train has approval and the stations are ready to go,the objections are about public liability for people crossing the line from accommodation on Shirley street. they are actually trespassing in doing so.
buckleys road seems to be on the southern side of grays lane, which makes it nowhere near the bluesfest site.

I have left a message for Michael Hunters younger Brother, who I have known since the 70s to call me back.

And I will then see what information I can find out

I just spoke to one of the Hunter brothers and was informed that the land is definitely not the BluesFest site, and that there were a couple of other incorrect items in the article.

It would be nice if had been economic to keep Narooma going but not enough support from the public.
You are looking at a Victorian swamp.

Waffles link is broken - the map comes up for the Hill End area in NSW
Same State just way out west
See here but you need to highlight the whole address

My guess is that the said journalist has spent too long working for newspapers which rely on sensationalism to sell their product to the gullible.
Whereas any chair person senior citizen non mobile phone owning Bluesfest attendee with investigative skills could figure it out.
