Hell yeah and they can invite along Eddie Vedder to sing on this one as Pearl Jam have been performing this song as part of their shows for many years. Would love to see Eddie's solo show at Bluesfest in 2018 as well.

Did anyone ever find out why Neil cancelled his appearance at Bluesfest this year?

Speaking of old Neils...

Neil Diamond new zealand dates:

15 March, Christchurch, AMI Stadium
17 March, Napier, Mission Estate

Makes sense he would play bluesfest afterwards

He is remarkably well preserved.Must be the musical company he keeps.

"An artist never really chooses when and where they will play.It is for promoters to make offers. It comes down as to whether tours are financially viable." Quote John Mayall.

pretty sure we can add steve earl & the dukes to bluesfest next year... last night in brisbane during his solo set steve mentioned that although he was out touring solo at the moment he would be back with the band "in the fall" and as easter is right in the middle of autumn i would put them down for an appearance. btw steve earl was awesome last night supporting a likewise fantastic set from paul kelly.

Rodrigo y Gabriela are playing Brisbane on 16 March 2018. What are the odds? They played a couple of great sets at BF a couple of years back

Every day above ground is a good day!

Just watching Heart Live in Seattle. A killer rock band with two of the best rock ladies on the planet in the Wilson sisters. Long overdue at BF and would be a stellar addition. Would also love to see the Blues Beatles from Brazil who do fabulous blues arrangements of the Beatles catalogue. Love some of the ecclectic requests here and echo most including Paul Rogers, Peter Gabriel and returnees like Mike Zito., Guy Davis, Eric Bibb, Keb Mo, Luka Bloom and Kate Miller Heidke.
Bring on the next announcement. on my way to Vietnam and Cambodia to check out the music scene there.
Best wishes to all bulletin boarders
