Thanks for posting this link. I never got to see or hear Lonnie play live but at least his music lives on. As we continue to lose these blues originals (thankfully I got to see James Cotton at Bluesfest a few years ago) it makes me even more appreciative of those we get to see and hear at Bluesfest each year. And I don't just mean the big names like Buddy Guy (it's great that Buddy's back again this year and performing 3 or 4 times) and Taj Mahal. I've loved hearing all the lesser known but enormously talented singers and musicians from the Music Maker Relief Foundation at Bluesfest over the years. Hope to see them back again at the Juke Joint next year.
