Should we be expecting an announcement from Bluesfest on Friday that may include the Oils.

Oils aren't the only ones to be announcing the date of a pending announcement.

Vera Blue has made a similar announcement that 17-02-17 will be the date of a pending event.

Flume is also releasing his new EP on the same date.

I'm sure that if BF had such an announcement to be made, they would have announced the date of an announcement via an email asking everyone to keep an eye on the facebook page for a post about a teaser video being released.

The Oils will probably make more money doing their own stadium shows.

I have a feeling that we have already received all the announcements we are going to get.
Time is racing onward, this year Bluesfest may struggle to satisfy many of it's welded on core fans.
These loyal attendees may start to express their feelings about the large empty space in the line-up;
in a space on a community forum or something like that.

Well how about you and Gertyson0000 start your own festival for inner consciousness somewhere in the hills, and invite the 77,79 & 80 year old sisters from Queensland along so long as they bring their own herbal tobacco.
I am confident that dragonfishgee0000,deapeasea000 & carlton draft 57 would be first in line to buy tickets.
Though Carlton might not get past the gate search,as of course it would be alcohol free.
Be sure to search the inner portion of deck chairs for hidden supplies.
The clever resort to more than carry bags.

"An artist never really chooses when and where they will play.It is for promoters to make offers.It comes down as to whether tours are financially viable." Quote John Mayall.

Patrick if you keep trolling me like this I will be forced to ask for your banning.

One of the administrators has pretty much sucked the life out of this forum - usually at this stage there's a bit of banter re major clashes etc - It would be interesting to see how the early birds sell this year given the "unconventional" schedule for 2017. The dance card 100% needs at least one more big act to inject a bit of colour into this years line up. There's no escaping that fact - punters posters organisers and even the acts playing know it. I'm sure there's one coming - bring on Franti or Jack or John or Ben will make a lot of people happy and annoy others but at least there's some stability.

I'd be surprised if it is Harper. He only just toured here last November with the Innocent Criminals.
