I had the misfortune to read a few reviews for mr loafs new album & it stinks so bad I think the meat has become rancid.
I admit I felt the need to listen in the same way one would see an horrific accident on the freeway...you know you shouldn't look or in this case listen but you do so anyway.
The end result has left me sonically scared to the point I'm not sure if I'll ever recover ..... EVER!!!
The sound he makes on these tunes could never be classified as music in any sense of the word.
This abomination makes his AFL performance seem like an audio masterpiece.
Listen at your own peril!
Here's what I would consider a very kind review http://www.news.com.au/entertainment/music/meat-loafs-new-album-is-flat-out-of-hell--his-voice-is-shot-and-he-sounds-terrible/news-story/4aa352e15db3f80bdd5d0b553db49d50

Using an apostrophe in front of the s for a plural word or instead of oes.

It just annoys me.

Let's just say I dropped an "e"
What annoys me is when some find the need to publicly correct others grammar on the net.
Places like Facebook seem to be filled with it & in most cases others know what the meaning is regardless of minor errors
After all we all make the odd mistake.
In future I'll be sure to pm you a copy of all my posts so you can proof read & correct them for me.d'oh!

It is called micro management, rather than looking at the big picture.
To my surprise,it was not via the usual suspect on the board.

I had a boss who used to write an apostrophe before nearly every word which ended in an s .. whether it needed one or not. They were important handwritten documents which had to be perfect after I typed them up so it was up to me to proofread them after typing and before sending them out. I mentioned it to her and she thanked me for it. This was long before Facebook and other social media. People are too touchy these days. Next you'll be saying I'm a bully. ;)

ps. Poor Meatloaf

A battle over grammar.
Reminds me of the good old days.

*Meat Loaf...sorry but I couldn't resist.
Seems He hates the name in one word.
I may be a little sensitive about this due to the fact I didn't get the chance of a decent education due to no fault of my own.
I started school @ around the age of 7-8 & left part way into year 8 & didn't attend often in between.
I kind of expelled myself rather than wait for someone else to do it.
I'm very thick skinned in regard to just about everything else as I've had to learn to be that way.
No I don't think of you as a bullyi was a little surprised to see you were the poster picking me up on such a minor thing
I find that when people correct others in such a public way it to me come across as a form of ridicule.
I'm not here to make enemies rather the opposite as I've met some great people due to my involvement on this forum even some who I've had a few long draw out debates with-you know who you are! :)
Who knows maybe one year we will meat up & have a chat about all things musical.
As for mr loaf well yeah I may have been a bit harsh but to a certain extent I was taking the Micky.
Comes down to it he's had quite a few health issues & he's getting a little long in the tooth so his voice has lost a lot of its original strength.
Sad that he seems to be going out on a low point as from what I've read this may be the last album & it seems he mimes rather than sings @ his live shows.
Could be time to hang up the mike.

A lady I used to work with flew to Melbourne to see MeatLoaf.
I was incredulous why if you were spending all that money, that you did not have more taste.
However I kept silent,as she was a fantastic person.

I was a spelling nerd at school and used to win spelling competitions. I also read a lot.

I had no idea his name was two separate words. Obviously I'm not much of a fan. I just remember an older friend had his album and used to play it a lot.

Time for him to hang up the mic (not mike) for sure. ;)

Suddenly this thread is starting to make more sense.
I was in the debating team @ school.
My teacher always made me debate the opposite to what I believed but for some reason always gave me the win?
Old habits die hard ;)

Only if it's about the dead man walking soundtrack.
He did a great job on that.
That album has some music I really enjoy

I also recommend you listen to the soundtrack Eddie wrote for the Into The Wild movie. There are some nice tunes on there.

Yeah I've given it a listen.
I like the fact he changes things from time to time.... Be interesting to see what he comes up with in the future.
The tune he did on the I Am Sam Album was something I liked as well

There are also some nice songs on his Ukulele Songs album although I'm not really a fan when he plays them live.
