Byron received 80mm of rain last night.

It has been raining every day for the past month

Raincoats and gumboots absolute necessities this year

Every day for the last month??? I'm in Lennox, 20k's away, and whilst we have had the odd heavy shower over the last couple of weeks we certainly have not had rain every day for a month lol...nothing like it!

I'm down near Yamba and it's just been the odd heavy shower this month too. Hoping for a dry Easter.. the rain can come after that.

Agree. It's going to be a sweaty Bluesfest this year.

Byron got 70mm between 9am and 5 pm.today.
I keep records of the Byron weather at work and we definitely haven't had rain every day for a month.

I don't want to hang up my rock n roll shoes
I get a good time feeling every time I hear those blues.

It seems to rain a bit more in the hinterland areas than it does on the coast. I have a friend who lives in Clunes. :)

My friend lives in Lismore their cat escaped last week and hasn't come back, she hates rain. Hopefully she's found herself a boyfriend that will look after her wherever she is. She's probably hiding in a gumboot or under a gumtree.

New gumboots check, weather looks all over the shop, I can take down pours , I can take showers, but i remember the smell from a few years ago, it puts hairs on your chest.

3 days to go, already starting to get the itch.Whistle

Yes the weather is definitely all over the place at the moment. The weather app on my phone is showing a fine and sunny Easter for Byron Bay. Hmmm

I've purchased the extremely fashionable safety yellow rain suit, and waterproofed my boots with Dubbin, cut most of me hair off
and am bringing 18 pairs of sox .. If it don't rain I'm likely to be a little annoyed. All that has added at least 5 kilos to my tare,
I'm gonna need a bigger truck.
That Derick fella (whos supposed to be there) seems to have lotsa Trucks, so I might have a chat to 'im...
See ya there peebles!!!

The BOM forecast for Easter for Cape Byron has it being sunny/cloudy with a 6% chance of rain on one day (I think it was either Saturday or Sunday) obviously they are often wrong, but looks like OK weather for Bluesy, with tops of 29 and 30. Obviously the ground is pretty wet from the few weeks of rain recently, but the site is so well drained I think it will be fine!

It was dusty in a lot of the internal areas on the site today.

I know that for a fact.

Campground has faired OK,
Edges of tents were starting to make the transformation into micro-moats, but nothing on previous years.
Haven't been inside the site today yet, all up its looking pretty good
