I'm down near Maclean and the water from the Clarence was just 30 cms below the levee on Saturday. Everything is ok now.

A friend fron the Gold Coast rang and said Blues at Broadbeach is great. Think I might go to that next year instead of Bluesfest. ;)

yeah,a good day of blues music.

caught BARRELHOUSE-young 3 piece, alot like marshall and the fro.
DARREN JACK BAND
JOHN MEYER BLUES EXPRESS-shit hot guitarist.
YOUNG GUNS OF BLUES-3 great guitarists.
SMOKIN JOE ROBINSON-from aust.got talent-fantastic young guitarist-18 yesterday.destined to be somebody.
BLUE SHADDY-absolute highlight,an incredible band that should be atbluesfest every year.great harp.
MOJO WEBB-another great act.
BACKSLIDERS-don turner, rob hirst, ian collard. great performance from 3 great musos.

blues on broadbeach is a great concept.bands in pubs and on street stages surrounded by restaurants. watch the bands from restaurant street tables or buy your booze from bottleshops inside the precinct and drink on the streets.about 10 different venues and you can actually book accomodation and watch the bands from your balcony. and all for free.
