As much as I enjoyed Don McLean's performance last time (and I did really like the long encore)
Maybe it was one of the first non-rainy fests I had been to. Sitting on the grass listening to Starry Starry Night was magic.

Anyway - how about Chris Isaak as a replacement

Last time he played was fantastic (still up on my top ten of all gigs - and I have been to 24 Bluesfests)

Had a peek at his site and I think his dance card looks to be free for Easter.

How about it Mr Noble?

ps Chris has to bring back his shiny suit.

paddle faster I hear banjo music ...............

Never a truer word was said.

Great idea for a replacement!

I missed the year Mr Isaak played and would love the chance to see him grooving at Blues!

Just had lunch with Chris. He knew nothing about it - he has family commitments over Easter that basically excludes him! I had to pay for lunch too!

If Chris Isaak can't make it - then how about:

Marlon Williams & the Yarra Benders - were my favourite from last year
or
Mia Dyson - been a long time since we have heard her fantastic - raw energy performance
or
The Stetson Family - great bluegrass band from Melbourne (I think)
or
Truckstop Honeymoon (are playing at the Blue Mountains Folkfest)

anyway

I think we should be able to get someone new to fill the Don McLean spot (not just another extra gig from someone already on the playlist)
