I'm sure this story and its subject will create a bit of a buzz with the boomerang artists. No shock to see Colin Barnett holding strong Johnny Butler wrote a song about this legend of Aussie politics who would have been more suited to 1940.

Does Barnetts support of keeping ties with the empire reflect his views on the native land owners in the Kimberley.

Before admin looks to wipe this topic they might be served to have a chat with one of the boomerang artists on the subject - pick one - anyone...

I voted no on the poll and I noticed I'm not the only one.
I simply don't want to give the politicians any more power,
And I don't want Australia to become a little America.

There are checks and balances in the system we have now.

Write a wise saying and your name will live on forever,,, Anonymous

Definitely even though modern politicians have learnt to manipulate the west Minster system it's better than the American system.

Dear Skot,
Are you going to be a goose all your life?

When John Howard had the referendum on this subject it was actually two questions but you could only give one answer,i believe that's why it "failed,"
"Do you want Australia to become a Republic,(yes),with a Head of State elected by a majority of Parliament,(no),it was a loaded question doomed to failure.I think we will become a Republic, but we have an awful lot of work to do first.
The other attitude is,"If it's not broken,don't fix it",it's a valid argument,as i said,a long way to go.......
