Hey there Bluesfesters!
It's my first Bluesfest and I'm flying up solo from Melbourne. Adventures!
Definitely keen to find some pals but also.... I'm really hoping to avoid checked baggage. At this stage my plan is to pick up camping gear in town before the festival, then leave it with the local pawn shop on the way home. But if there's any super generous folks driving to the festival who happen to have spares of anything at all (a tent, mattress, blanket, pillow, esky etc.) I would be SOOOO stoked to avoid the wastage and excess spending. More than happy to chuck some dollars your way. I'm an illustrator (www.banditboogie.com), and am also happy to organise some artwork for you as a trade if that's more your style! Would just feel so much better about gear going home with someone after the festival!

Thank you!
Llama.

Why not stay at a backpackers and not have the hassle of buying camping gear.
To have to pay for a tent site plus gear will be more expensive.

The cost of a backpackers was going to add up much quicker as I'm also there a couple extra nights either side of the festival. I've also never been to Byron so wanted to stay onsite at the festival to ensure I didn't have any hassles getting to my volunteer shifts.
