I am advised that both Tom Jones and Brian Wilson will NOT be performing at the same time at Bluesfest on Easter Monday
And, that both of their performances will occur at an acceptable time for their audience.
This means they will not be closing stages at midnight.
It is expected their performances will end by 9.30.
Thanks

That is excellent news thank you very much.

Just a suggestion here, Tom Jones, followed by Brian Wilson, followed by The Blues Bothers Band. What a way to finish the weekend. You may need a slightly bigger tent though.

Just got the latest email - Wow !!!! What a way to finish the weekend.

PS I think it's really nice Bluesfest giving us the heads up on a few that will not be clashing.

I'm with you on this. He was one of the "stand outs" at the last Bluesfest. He's on my "not going to miss no matter what" list so Jaylee1, let's hope

The Bluesfest set will be as per all of the tour concerts.
And as per the Smile Tour will be the album followed by Greatest Hits.
So one would expect close to two hours.
Which given the song lengths will include a lot of numbers.

Indeed Waffles we can expect a superb Monday evening.
On a tangent, given that blondes have been the rage in recent decades,I am mystified as to why this historic clip does not appear to feature any.

I'm gonna get hated for this, but I thought the brian Wilson band was good, bit brian was well past it. I really felt sorry for him. a nurse friend said she thought he was showing the first signs of parkinsons. I was at the very back and the crowd was very bored.
I had the audio feed headset so got a good sound, which unfortunately did not cover his flat vocals. its hard to say but I think his time was not for these times.

The people standing next to us did not know most of the songs on Pet Sounds, didn't understand the
relevance of the album and generally spoke through most of the album.Eventually that got bored and moved on.

Anyone attending the show and expecting Brian Wilson to be anything other than what he was,
a man that has had some very serious illnesses and obviously feeling the effects of long term drug use (nearly all of is prescription medication) obviously hasn't
read or heard about his shows.

We went there with an open mind and stood back and listened to the work of a true music genius. We have now seen him twice and both times we left his concert marvelling at his musicianship and his writing.

Will I never know silence without mental violence?
