Singer Jenny Morris has lost the ability to sing after being diagnosed with spasmodic dysphonia.

The ARIA award winning songstress, who caught our attention singing back up for INXS in the 1980s after relocating to Sydney from New Zealand, has been living with the neurological disorder for a decade.
Jenny will be the subject for Monday nights Australian Story on the ABC main TV Channel

What caught my eye in the following link was Jenny and Michael Hutchence/INXS doing the county number JACKSON

That's sad. I remember going to one of her shows in Sydney in the late 80s.

I haven't seen this clip for thirty years, but remember it like it was yesterday. A sixteen year old punk rocker i was gobsmacked that country music (and INXS) could sound so cool. Thanks Jenny.

As with Gail Zappa, drummer Bruno Lawrence died from lung cancer, and at the same age as Frank Zappa who died from prostrate cancer.

"An artist never really chooses when and where they will play.It is for promoters to make offers. It comes down as to whether tours are financially viable." Quote John Mayall.

Thanks Ranger
I watched Bruno regularly on the ABCs Frontline satirical newsroom spoof. He was the newsroom boss
Never had any idea he was a musician with Max Merrit no less

A nice down to earth person who has moved on to other artistic pursuits.

I found it interesting that she is still able to sing in an "operatic" voice.
