Pretty good line up this year.
Broadbeach does three festivals a year now, (blues, jazz and country)
The blues is the best by far and they have gone "all out" this year with lots of acts.

Not bad for a freebee,,,

Broadbeach is insane and awash with new and old talent. This is a true blues festival unadulterated by kids who despoil the environment by littering or music that is not blues or derivative.. Yesterday was a 14 hour romp of magic performances by the likes of established artists Hatz Fitz and Cara, Jeff Lang, Backsliders, Ian Collard, Lloyd Spiegal, Phil Emmanuel, Kevin Borich,Blue Shaddy, Mojo Webb, and some brilliant new talent in The Bella Reunion, Mitch King and Josh Needs. The latter two are 21 and 17 and the future of blues in oz is well and truly in good hands. Will write a detailed review on return to Brisbane on Monday. There is nothing not to love about this festival - great food, great drinks, sensational music, immediate proximity to artists without need to queue at a sign on tent, great cd tent..............and its all FREE.

Yes the festival this year was HUGE,

I thought the Victoria Park site was awesome this year,
Facing the stage against the slight incline meant every one got a perfect view.
It just rocked, what a great spot, watched Ray Beadle there on Friday.

I always liked this festival but man its gone up a few notches.

The vibe is typical Gold Coast, relaxed, holiday, board shorts at the casino style.
Accomodation ranges from bargains to mega expensive, anything you want.
Its nothing like schoolies, lots of older folk, everyones nice, some streets get blocked off.
Lots of families around with their kids, Its typical broadbeach and the concerts are out in the open.
You'll love it, definitely worth a trip, AAAAA+++++

That's OK but tell them not to expect to hear this.

"An artist never really chooses when and where they will play.It is for promoters to make offers. It comes down as to whether tours are financially viable." Quote John Mayall.
