Someone who may be just cruel, told me that there was an impromptu performance by Eric Clapton at this bluesfest. According to this person he played/supported an act at jambalaya!
Can someone put me out of my misery, please! I knew he was in the country and secretly held hopes he would show.

No.. there was no Eric Clapton performance at Bluefest

This is nearly as bad as me secretly hoping Eddie Vedder would make a surprise appearance on stage with Ben Harper. :)

Well yes Mr Bindog, there was more than a slight resemblance, except that he would have fallen over on stage.

It doesn't seem so long since some other famous people were rumoured to be stopping off in Byron.

"An artist never really chooses when and where they will play.It is for promoters to make offers. It comes down as to whether tours are financially viable." Quote John Mayall.

He had plans to play BF but being one that suffers Aqua-phobia it put him off the gig.-but it didnt bother Saint bob a few years ago (another sufferer by the looks of him.)

& why would he come back to bf after his jam with the chilli peppers at a past BF?

One of our mates (groomsman) travelled from the Carribean to BF and told us Eric was on a beach there the week before with his family...apparently he is a lovely man and had a bunch of new material he was playing around with on a daily basis; just him, his guitar and his kids....beautiful. Maybe we will all get to hear it next BF :)))

Buddy Guy is without doubt the best guitar player alive.......the way he plays is beyond anyone. Amen

He was seen by many people all over the joint & it makes sense as they say "god is everywhere".
