Hi everybody,

I get the idea that the bluesfest people don't want a whole heap of trading going on when tickets are still available but what about camping tickets?

I am desperately hoping to buy 5 day camping tickets for 2 adults and hoping there's someone out there who has had a change of accomodation plans. But it seems that the relevant category of the forum for this may never be opened.

Any ideas anyone?

We haven't been since we had kids 7 years ago but had done 10 years in row previous to that so we are super excited.

Unfortunately we have only just been able to lock in child minding arrangemnts for the week and now I find the camping is sold out! Grrr.

Somebody come to my rescue please!

Tickets are sold off the website, not the forum.
You also do not state as to whether you already have Festival tickets.

Sorry. Just to clarify we already have purchased our 5 day festival tickets from the website last year but weren't able to committ to the camping at that point.

I can't see anyway on the website to purchase the camping tickets as a seperate transaction to the festival tickets. Also, the camping tickets appear to be sold out (with the exception of single day tickets).

That's why I was trying the tickets section of the forum.

Thanks for the responses so far.

I am open to any and every input.

The fact is that if people are intending to attend and camp, they buy a fest ticket plus camping.
Which means that it is very easy to buy a second hand fest/camping ticket.
But to be able to buy 2 five day camping tickets second hand is close to trying to find a hen with teeth.
Because anyone wanting to sell is going to sell them as a package.
I can vouch for this as a regular viewer of the second hand market.
I suggest you consider other options.

I'd agree Andrew, looks like the 5 day camping tix are sold out. Perhaps 5 x single day camping tix would work (campers, does this mean a different camping location??). Fri & Sat camping go off sale tomorrow. If all else fails, contact BF head office and see if they can join 5 x 1-dayers into a full week.

Indeed single day camping is still for sale.

You better be quick.
Single day camping is available for every day until tomorrow (Tuesday) at noon.

At that time both Friday & Saturday single day tickets will no longer be available.
There is a limited amount of 1 day Sunday camping tickets still available.
There are plenty of one day Thursday & Monday tickets still available.
There will be a notice tomorrow of other campsites in the area still available on our website

Thanks

Thanks heaps for the reply.

But how do I buy them?

Please let me know if I am doing something wrong but I just don't seem to be able to buy camping tickets or even see them unless I select to buy individual night festival tickets. But I already have 5 day tickets for the festival.

Also, if I can somehow buy 5 individual night camping tickets will I have to relocate each day?

Thanks,
Andrew.

I have been staying in recent years at mullimbimby giants footy club camping ground about 5 mins from fest with hot showers, clean toilets, cooked breakfasts and coffee and bus to door to and from fest each day. Give Margaret a call and tell her the Canoodlers sent you. It is a great place to stay

You need to contact Bluesfest office by phone or email.
As the website logically has a protective mechanism of requiring ticket purchases before buying camping.
Alternatively there are other camping options available,as the mod suggests above.
Or as my esteemed colleague and fellow ex convict Spanner suggests below.

If you cannot figure it out on the website, just ring the Bluesfest office 02 66 858 310.
They are very helpful.

Thanks for your help TheLoneRanger.

I guess it is a logical protective mechanism. I suppose that I am just not up to speed with the current demand and arrangements of the modern festival. Last time I did all this the festival was still at the footy club and camping done seperately.

Thanks. I will give it some serious consideration.

Do you know if the bus is the "official" mullimbimby shuttle bus that runs a few times a day or more of a once-a-day style put on by the camp grounds type arrangement? Or something else I haven't considered?

Lots of stuff still on the forum about that from previous years.
Mullim is about as close as you can get so will be no problem.
I stay at the YHA Murwillumbah & drive in each day.
Often give hitchers a ride post festival.

So some vendors on Trade Me finally got realistic with their prices.
I posted on a couple of sales and told them not to scalp.
One of them didn't like me saying that so just put up another sale hoping that punters would not read my comments.
As for attendance, you missed the two best years in the history of Bluesfest.
Moral of the story is that you need to come every year.
