Any enthusiasm for a get-together of regular BB contributors this year?

Time? Place?

I would try to make it to one of them.

Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion man...

Last years meetup If I can remember,

Friday 12.00ish outside Jambala.

It is then that the realisation dawns on us, that this seemingly massive forum
that we all read and post things on (at least three to four times each week)
And which is so much a part of our lives, and is seemingly read by hundreds.

Is revealed to be made up of around 30 members,
(not including their significant others who don't post)
And of that 30, around ten of us will probably show up.
(usually with their partners and family in tow for morale support)
and we will all stand around in a small semi circle, (just like we did last year)
Gaping at the large crowds of people waltzing on past, oblivious to the fact that there even is a forum,
(despite the giant FORUM header on the website) and that this is where we all agreed to meet.

And there will be small talk and high fives and usually an inside rumour about a possible mystery appearance.
(that never actually eventuates, like the Springsteen one from two years ago)
And then we will all disperse back into the crowd from which we came,
But taking with us a great sense of camaraderie, which money can't buy
.
And also a greater appreciation of this wonderful forum,
and the truly nice people who inhabit it.

Midday would be a little late as the first bands of the day would be already starting.

Wouldn't it be great if last months moderator came to a forum meet and greet?

What do you all reckon?

Dear Skot,
Are you going to be a goose all your life?

First, very good mpember.

Second, I said i'd come last year (to the meet up), but didn't make it, so there was at least one more (me) that uses this forum.

I say again, I will keep an eye on this and show up where it's decided and when it's decided.
Probably.
I will try.

I predict rain this year, anyone started thinking about how lucky we've been the past few years?
Pretty much since the move to Tyagarah, it's been mostly dry (but for the first year there, when it did rain a good bit).

Most definitely.
This year the posters will be divided into two camps.

It will be The rails at Midday Thursday for me again............We are always there as a group. Don't be a stranger...we are old and harmless.
Find it too hard to catch up at the festival proper.
I am normally a man on a mission for five days as I run (make that hobble) from artist to artist!!!

That may be the case round midday...... but after sundown???Think
No meet up @ the fest for me & the rails could be doubtful as I will be waiting for my wheels & that being the case most years that's anytime between 1-4pm.
I'm getting to the goldcoast airport @ 6.30pm wed Johnnymac will keep an eye out for you & yours!

So is the onsite meetup actually happening this year, or just the one at the Rails?

I will try for the rails,
Could be a wet year which may put the kibosh on things.

With all the internet hotspots operating this year,
We may also be able to arrange something on the fly.

Have not been to the rails for a few years.
It suits those who are staying there and going out on the bus.
And it suited Red Devil.
Hopeless trying to get into Byron from the North Side on Thursday.
Needs to be from the South Side.
I might be in Byron on Thurs for shopping.
Jambalaya on Friday from when you can get in the grounds is an easier meet time for those not staying in Byron.
Am flying out Tues afternoon to Brisbane.
