I'm not familiar with any of the Blasters material.
But I am familiar with quite a bit of the post era material.
There are some killer tracks which I would have loved to see.
Such as this one.
The album Interstate City recorded at The Continental Club in 1996 I would recommend.

Another killer song which I did not until very recently realise was an Alvin composition.
Also included on Interstate City.

We were fortunate that Phil's vocals had healed by the time they played Bluesfest.
After the first set,I had decided that this was one of my two acts of the festival.
Together with Ranking Roger & Co.
Marty Duda comments on Billy Idol versus the Alvins.
I would say the same for the Alvins versus Zac Brown Band.

Track one side one off Eleven Eleven I would have loved to hear at Bluesfest

Nikki Hill watched the first Alvin set.
Nikki & Matt Hill watched the second Alvin set.
For very good reasons.
They are new kids on the block.
The Alvins are legends.
Without doubt my act of the Festival.
Fantastic that Bluesfest bought Dave out for the second time.
And Phil for his first visit to Au.
Dave has T Bone Walker and Big Joe Turner as icons.
So do I.

The drunk young guy beside me who caught the setlist said to me "They're a Rock N Roll Band !!!!!!!! "
Well yes, don't get fooled by the hats.
There are people with western hats who are electric.
But this 1982 TV special really puts it into perspective.
Featured in the set are not only Carl Perkins, but the seminal figure of Willie Dixon.

Now where have I seen that drummer in recent times ?
She has superb tastes in bands.
