Regards replied:
Enjoy the show. Gus the drummer is am old mate of mine....I have the Black Sorrows playing at a charity gig I help run in Feb at my local sports ground. So that will be cool"

Post mortem: Joe was suffering from a head cold, but that did not stop him and The BS's cookin' up a storm. Energetic and enthusiastic performance. Great night. As a tribute/remembrance to recently deceased Daddy Cool bass player and friend the band played "brown eyed girl". Some later, more playful Mick Jagger banter was nailed with a stirring, "Satisfaction." Joe was out the front to sell and autograph his 48th vinyl & cd's.

Glad it was a good show. Joe is a trooper.

That will be a big gig, please let us know how it goes.

Was a fun night .. we had non-seated tickets for the back half of the oval which I thought I'd regret, but didn't.

Fireworks, confetti, laser light show and wristbands were handed out which flashed in time to the music.

It was like one big New Years Eve party.

Of all the acts in the world, we need 3 replacements that have played the festival approx.10 times each?!

Saw Robbie Fulks at The Basement last night.

Someone said about his music: Soul bluegrass for the modern hillbilly -sums it up perfectly

wonderful story teller , natural performer, hilarious and very entertaining.

and his fiddle player Shad Cobb was fantastic as well.

What a treat

Caught Kim Churchill a couple of weeks ago at the Triffid, new album is great.

Next week we are off to see Black Sorrows, always a great show.

Then Paul McCartney at Suncorp, and in the new year Colin Hay at the Tivoli.

Then Bluesfest of course.

Will I never know silence without mental violence?

Saw Alison Moyet with Katie Noonan as support in Brisbane on Tuesday night. Both have very unique voices.

Will be seeing Sir Paul at Suncorp in Brisbane on December 9

Old Crow Medicine Show at the Enmore last week.

Blonde On Blonde in its entirety, Cocaine Blues & Wagon Wheel as encore 1, then 3 x Tom Petty numbers as encore 2 - a very nice touch.

Fabulous show from OCMS, but Valerie June was a disappointment. Maybe it was the sound mix, but the shrill vocals were incomprehensible,

Gang of Youths in Glasgow next Tuesday with number one son and partner. Playing a 300 or so capacity space in a vegan restaurant.
Quite different to the venues they just played in Australia like Festival Hall and Hordern Pavilion complete with adoring and excitable local crowds. Saw them in Hobart and they were excellent. Wonder how a Scottish audience will react.

Me and Mrs A28 are going to see the Hat and Clara at the lovely historic Upper Landesdown Hall. We've missed seeing them open Bluesfest for the past few years

the Oils were fantastic last night.

Acoustics were spot on considering it was outdoors and raining on and off for the 2 hours.

The setlist was amazing. So many hits and songs still so relevant to today.

The Living End were also mindblowingly good.

That's a tough one ,but I'd definitely go with the dockers. It's a rare opportunity to see either of them.

Just got tickets for the Whitlams 25th Anniversary Tour at the Triffid.

Last time we went to their concert was at the Plantation in Coffs many moons ago. Can't wait.
