I respectfully disagree with your comments regarding Midnight Oil.

The trolls on this forum outnumber the non trolls.

I have always like Midnight Oil and saw them a lot back in their early days.
I think this guys was just saying what he thinks, and don't think it was troll like.
And I don't agree with him But everyone is allowed to have an opinion.

You miss my point.
Which was not whether the band are socialists or brute capitalists.
Are you able to differentiate between trolls with multiple identities and posters with one identitity.
It appears not.
Admin is unable to.
The forum has been reduced to such a joke,Facebook looms as a realistic option.
Adapting to change is a fact of life.
As for Midnight Oil,apart from the fact that they have Peter Garrett as the lead vocalist, and that they are Au icons,I know nothing about the band.any of the band members or any of their songs.

The Oils are awesome Ranger,

My Fave song of theirs,,,

The Breakfast Creek hotel is up for sale,
The last square mile of terra firma gavelled in the mail,
So farewell to the Norfolk Island pines,
No amount of make believe can help this heart of mine. …

Who knows it might be Peter is teasing us and the oils will play their warm up to their national tour at bluesfest - it makes perfect sense and would be that iconic Bluesfest moment that would go down in folklore - they should support Australia's premier festival... everyone wins

I cannot be bothered with responding to most of your post.

As it is in nonsensical in parts. But so be it.

I am surprised that such an authority as your good self, is not aware of Rob Hirst.

As I assume that you may have seen or heard of the fantastic Backsliders?

I always thought his fav gig would have been the Oil's but this would have been an amazing gig to attend. Especially with this legend in the crowd rocking out.

I sometimes think that the Ranger acts ignorant just to create discussion!

"...wild Jamaican's from Kingston drinking Irish Moss
Listening to Peter Winston Macintosh..."

I'm waiting for him to claim he knows nothing about Neil Finn or any of his songs!

I think ranger is good value.

When they go low-we go high.

I'd suggest the ranger simultaneously pull his head in and pull his finger out.

The ranger can be good value, but I find the didactic negative raves bring down the vibe. Please consider others and give it a bit of a rest. Thank you.

Back to business.

To assist with this I'd recommend highly most of the oils catalogue (particularly earlier) and buy a ticket to a NZ show later in the year. Hands down the best live act I've seen, again and again.

Ranger's observations about trolls on this forum are spot on.

When they go low-we go high.

The Sydney pre-sale sold out in 20 minutes.More tickets are being held over for the general sale on Monday.
The band may have underestimated their ongoing popularity in the U.S. as many shows have already sold out.

Or you will form a protest movement ???

When it comes to Rob Hirst I think the ranger would be more into The Break than the oils - https://youtu.be/q3fNNjtvf9U
