Great episode. The earlier episodes are also worth a look.

Thanks GB, that was priceless. And a precious reminder that 10 years ago the world almost lost the single most important city in music. Congrats to Dave Grohl (I really shoulda seen the Foos at jazzfest 2012....it's absolutely clear where his heart is).

Oh the failed education system, I think that's Thursday morning and not Wednesday night

It must have been squeezed in between the Dolly Parton and Willie Nelson interviews and the background discussing the Grand Ole Opry. I'm glad you were able to look past all that to find it.

As far as I can tell, this thread started as a way of informing fellow forum members about a NOLA-based episode of Sonic Highways. Skot20_58 must have watched the Washington-based episode which featured background on Dave growing up during a period of Washington's development of a punk scene and got upset about it.

As for the 'doll' comment, I can't offer any explanation for the sudden suggestions of abuse.

The punk part was a joke ye know?? Every episode has had punk references except the Nashville ep Lighten up. The doll was a joke to. But hey blow it out of proportion if you want.
