The program is out, free Domain Concerts of Opera- Symphony and BRAZIL AUSTRALIAN PREMIERE

With sublime musicianship and infectious energy, Brazil’s hottest artists take over for the best party of summer.

Hailed as one of Brazil’s most legendary artists, with a fierce reputation for charismatic and exhilarating live shows, Seu Jorge brings his dance-ready rhythms and spirit-lifting singalongs to Australia for the first time. With a husky baritone that connects straight to the soul, Jorge, the man behind those scene-stealing Bowie covers in Wes Anderson’s The Life Aquatic, plays a mix of transformative pop covers, alongside swinging original tunes flavoured with samba, reggae, hip-hop and electronics.

Leave your inhibitions at home – South America’s most charming man is leading this summer celebration the Brazilian way. Booty-shaking en masse is guaranteed.

I'm excited to see ANNA VON HAUSSWOLFF, organ player from Sweden.
She is simply amazing!
And Archie Roach shows sound great too.

I love the free domain concerts every year.
sitting on a blanket with friends, having some drinks and food on a summer afternoon followed by the likes of Sharon Jones and Chaka Khan. Good times.
Looking forward to Seu Jorge.

Woeful line up compared to the past few years. Wouldn't be bothered with 95% of these acts - very disapointing. mainly made up of rubbish acts - past few years - lou reed - blind boys - David Byrne - Mike Patton etc - this is just artsy garbage for the Jazz fusion clicks

Repete and Youngbill always like to be reminded the 2006 offering

The concerts in the Domain are a summertime staple and one of the best ways to enjoy the festival vibe. This year Jazz in the Domain takes the name "The Spirit of New Orleans" and showcases three of Louisiana's musical ensembles representing the past, present and future of jazz. The Preservation Hall Jazz Band, the Dirty Dozen Brass Band and Terrance Simien converge for a celebration that responds to the recent disaster that crippled New Orleans and pays tribute to its character and heart.

Sigh....all of Australia deserves to experience Preservation Hall. If they don't get your arse movin' then you're dead!
