Robert Plant is releasing his first new record since 2010's Band Of Joy, this one recorded with his new band The Sensational Space Shifters.

“It’s really a celebratory record, powerful, gritty, African, Trance meets Zep,” Plant says. “The whole impetus of my life as a singer has to be driven by a good brotherhood. I am very lucky to work with The Sensational Space Shifters. They come from exciting areas of contemporary music…I have been around awhile and I ask myself, do I have anything to say? Is there a song still inside me? In my heart? I see life and what’s happening to me. Along the trail there are expectations, disappointments, happiness, questions and strong relationships,” Plant explains. “….and now I’m able to express my feelings through melody, power and trance; together in a kaleidoscope of sound, colour, and friendship.”

I listened to this this arvo 4 times in a row. I'm by no means a Robert plant solo fan but this album has a creepy vibe I like it.

I'll stick with Band Of Joy.
Buddy Miller Patti Griffin & Co.

The poster who asserts that Plant's cover is "half done and half assed" in my opinion is biased.
Clearly he does not understand the quality of the musicans who surround Plant.

"An artist never really chooses when and where they will play.It is for promoters to make offers. It comes down as to whether tours are financially viable." Quote John Mayall.

Dear Messrs Skot and Kahuna,
I expect Mr Plant will be touring Australia soon.
I for one will be there for sure.

When they go low-we go high.

Apologies,
A bit slow but have finally purchased and listened.
Brilliant.The creativity is astonishing.
So much so, that I hope he continues with this sort of work as opposed to any Zep reunion.

He was one of the highlights for me when he played at Bluesfest. I would certainly love to see him back with his new band.

In fairly recent interviews, Robert Plant has expressed a desire to work with Jack White.

On the weekend it finally happened.

Jack White & Robert Plant - The Lemon Song

"...wild Jamaican's from Kingston drinking Irish Moss
Listening to Peter Winston Macintosh..."
