Were you guys like me, and completely f*&%ed after the 5 days this year?

Does anyone have any rituals they follow to make it through to the finish line as fresh as a daisy?

I think 1 of the most important tips is good footwear, and dress for comfort.

I might need to go into some training and lose a few chubby kilos before next year

Mid afternoon nanna naps back at the campground work for me.

Sets me up for a big night.

baby powder between the butt cheeks and vasoline on the thighs haha

When you're lost in the rain in Juarez
And it's Eastertime too
And your gravity fails
And negativity don't pull you through
Don't put on any airs
When you're down on Rue Morgue Avenue
They got some hungry women there
And they really make a mess outta you.

My Golden Rule is never have a beer before 12:00.....other than that, just pace yourself. Plenty of water, take opportunity to have a sit down from time to time, mix up your vantage points throughout day...

Listening to Peter Winston Macintosh..."

I go for a swim in the surf every morning, and do not carry on too much when we get back to the house.

I eat small healthy feeds a few times during the day, slip in some water and drink non Tooheys beer, and thats about it.

I can go for weeks like that, this year I had to, as I headed straight off to Nola.

A swim in our pool every morning was not the same as the Surf, but it worked.

I find the most important thing is the sleeping arrangements back at the campsite,
If the bed sucks, then you have a terrible time by the end of it.

We used to take our old sealy posturepeadic with the base on the back of the ute
but last year we bought fold out big sky beds from anaconda and they worked just great.
I avoid sleeping directly on the ground, mainly because its annoying crawling up off the ground
every time you want to take a leak, (which is usually twice a night if you've been drinking a bit)

We also beef up the beds with sheepskin liners and extra foam and make them really comfy.
You can get away with everything else, but the beds are priority number one in my opinion.

I don't want to hang up my rock n roll shoes
I get a good time feeling every time I hear those blues.

Because Tooheys just does not agree with me, and I would end up crook.

I can sort of a handle a very cold Tooheys Draught on Tap, but not in a can, and Extra Dry is no good at all.

And I tried one can of some other crap they had, and could only stomach a few sips, before that went in the bin.

So I will not touch the stuff. And its not just a being Victorian thing. I have had lots of xxxx in my time, and Emu Bitter etc and never seem to have a drama.

I get worn out when I spend too long in one tent. I try to spend less thine actively watching the artists and just try to soak up the music and atmosphere. That sustains me for when I really want to get close and watch the artist intently.

Trumpet bells ringing
Bass drum is swinging
As the trombone groans
And the big horn moans

Won't be the popular answer but the only way i can get through all five days and barely missing a minute in the last 12 years is no alcohol ......I won't have many friends here :)

While my original decision was based on the variety and price of beers on offer, I share your approach.
