Dear Mr Bazcaz,
Thank you,simply brilliant.
I was thrilled to meet Joe at Bluesfest this year.
He is an ornament to the industry and Australia.

When they go low-we go high.

Pre BF'14 I carefully distilled my priorities to the point of excluding all other acts. No plan B. Thursday arvo, 2nd act. I should stay in Jambalaya to see Steve Earle as per my priorities, but what the heck, I go with a pod member to see "the start" of Jo Jo & The Black Sorrows. I do not leave. Rapt with the collaboration with Garland Jefferies, high on the whole gig. Set the benchmark unbelievably high for the rest of the festival. Garland Jefferies was on my MUST SEE, so later that night I was stoked to catch him and Jo Jo & The Black Sorrows as his backing band in the small Juke Joint. It doesn't - and didn't get - much better. Thanks Joe.
Fond memories of seeing Joe at the uni bar in the mid 70's; the great early 80's & Walk on By; the Shape I'm In. I love his "back end of jazz" and his variety. Truly Aussie Royalty. So much energy. All captured in the interview. Thanks Bazcaz.

Thanks pod2006...The Black Sorrows were on my priority list to see but with media commitments (interview opportunities) all your plans get thrown out and I missed them...Joe said the word was out there amongst the people that they were one of the Best of the festival which he was happy about....Unfortunately he was set to tour with Garland Jefferies and at the last minute the whole tour got cancelled..not by Joe..I did not bring it up in the interview because I wanted to keep the vibe happy...when I asked about it after the show his reply was ...Oh well that's Rock and Roll ...
