Watched it. I found the comments about Bob Dylan wanting to come back and play every night amusing considering what happened last time. ;)

If it was 40 years ago that would have been a possibility... but no, these days I would be the guy who lost his incontinence pads ;-)

Same... I didn't sit in one of those white chairs for the entire festival. I found I was eating a lot more though so that I could sit in those bench seats and have a rest from constantly hauling around my camera and 400ml lens.

did the sunday night program really depict what bluesfest is all about?

it seemed to be just looking for a sensational story...the guy hanging out the back of the van..wheres my bong?
I had friends who I have been pestering to come to bluesfest ring me after the show saying it wasn't as laid back as I described.

their son who hasent been to bluesfest but has been to splendor said it looks just like splendor.

I don't think the program did bluesfest any favors.

but that's just me.

I don't want to hang up my rock n roll shoes
I get a good time feeling every time I hear those blues.

Agree. However the bit with Charlie Musselwhite with the young guy was priceless and IS what fest is all about. I've lost count of the number of times I've seen Charlie and not once have I left his gig feeling disappointed.

Just finished watching the 11.25 minute show.
Excellently compiled and very effective promotional clip.
Of course there had to be a tip of the hat to the way it used to be in the old days with the young actor in the van.
Showcased some of the headline acts, with very effective brief comments included.
It is essential to focus on the younger segment of the attendees in order to keep getting new faces in the gate to maintain the client base.
A critical part of any marketing plan by any business.
And so we saw the energy of youth and the obvious enjoyment of the attendees.
I very much look forward to Bluesfest TV in due course.

"An artist never really chooses when and where they will play.It is for promoters to make offers. It comes down as to whether tours are financially viable." Quote John Mayall.

Thanks for posting the clip ... I was a tad disappointed they did not give a 10 to 15 second overview ... ie 105 acts 6 stages over 5 days 12 hours a day ... on balance it was well done also tried to capture the spirit and magic that is Byron ... maybe not what is was in the 70's ... but is still a great town with values and a willingness to fight the developers better than anywhere else in Australia...
