Is the VIP lounge worth it?
What was good, what was bad?
What should they do next year to improve?

Is the Sunset Club worth it?

Thought the décor in the VIP lounge was nice, but more effort needed in the new VIP area under Sunset.
No tables to put drinks on in VIP lounge, have to put your drink on the floor,

Sunset Club, the views are magnificent, across the festival site. not very busy so peace and quiet if you need it, and happy hour 1/2 price drinks in arvo.

every time i caught up with wayne swan i didnt have the camera.
being a labor man i thought it would be good.
funny but id prefer someone who enjoys good music and surfs to be in the government.

I don't want to hang up my rock n roll shoes
I get a good time feeling every time I hear those blues.

Hey Waffles, thought we spotted Albo tearing through the tents on a couple of days. Any other spotters or was it mistaken identity?

The VIP lounge is a money spinner for Bluesfest, makes a few people who can afford it feel good about themselves and gets in no-one's way and impacts me not in the slightest (I could never afford it)... so they may as well keep it.

So if you bought a VIP Ticket , would you do it again, and why?

We bought a one-day VIP, just to see if it was worth it and have a bit of a break from the crowds. Drinks inside are ridiculously expensive, but you can pay cash and there are nice couches to sit on. Toilets are nice and have no line up, but the toilets outside were much better this year anyway. I would say it's definitely worth it if it rains…but on a beautiful weekend like we just had - not so much. We are undecided about next year - if you buy the early bird ticket, the expense can (almost) be justified, but it's a tough one.

Having been offered free passes on Monday I spent 5 minutes in both the VIP areas then walked out thinking how happy I was that I hadn't paid for it.

agree with Swoody that if it had rained the advantages increase.

Keep the VIP don't care maybe replace the Sunset club as it looked empty every time I walked past with the returning CD tent ! Perfect solution

It was nice to fall back on for a soft place to sit. I didn't spend that much time, but it was nice when I did stop by. Bathrooms were a plus, however the food available next to Mojo was crap. Fried stuff and that's about it. Better beer selection, but still mass produced (a craft beer choice would have been nice). I did pick up a 5 day ticket for a bit over half price on eBay which was nice win and the only reason I did buy it. If they upped the food options/quality and maybe put in a viewing platform into Mojo, I'd be back.

Diversity on VIP as with diversity on what sounds you like.

"An artist never really chooses when and where they will play.It is for promoters to make offers. It comes down as to whether tours are financially viable." Quote John Mayall.

'SOUNDS' good to me??
A definite bonus attraction if available to VIP guests.
More money would likely be spent on those expensive beers,.
