For Immediate Release

THE ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND
ANNOUNCE POSTPONEMENT OF FOUR REMAINING BEACON THEATRE PERFORMANCES

New York, NY (March 24, 2014) – The Allman Brothers Band announced the postponement of the remaining four Beacon Theatre performances on March 25, March 26, March 28 and March 29 as Gregg Allman recovers from bronchitis. As a result of Mr. Allman’s illness, the Allman Brothers Band is unable to perform at the level to which they aspire.

****
I for one am wishing Gregg a speedy recovery so we get to see the legend on the bluesfest stage!!!

That's a real shame - here's hoping he can shake it off and go ahead witht he Australian tour. For the sake of the fans and for his own sake (bronchitis ain't no fun, especially as the years advance).

Bronchitis, Ain't no body got time for that!

When you're lost in the rain in Juarez
And it's Eastertime too
And your gravity fails
And negativity don't pull you through
Don't put on any airs
When you're down on Rue Morgue Avenue
They got some hungry women there
And they really make a mess outta you.

At least it's not as bad as Walter Trout's ailment, but it would be a shame if Gregg couldn't play BF25 as well.

We have heard from Gregg's management.

he fully expects to perform with the Allman Brothers at the Wanee festival in Florida- and to then travel to Australia for his tour here

Awesome news.

Oh that's good news, you have to take your hat off to these elder artists. The travel, stagetime has to be non forgiving. They do perform for their fans and they reciprocate en mass. Very excited to see Gregg and Devon doing his own thing.Cant wait guys!

This from Jambase, Gregg looking forward...." I cannot wait for my first trip to Australia with my solo band to meet my down under fans"

I would of loved the Allman Brothers especially this being their "final" year.

Agree...great news.......I'm still hoping. His name is not on the latest newsletter which still gives me a bit of concern.

Hopefully this doesn't rule him out. On the bright side, at least it wasn't a hip.

Such a pity. Hope he recovers soon.

He was brilliant at Byron a couple of years back. We were so lucky to get to see him.
