Psych-folk six-piece Midlake were added to play it overnight.
Its the first time they have been to Australia since their 2010 sold out Tour.

I got Sunday night Pixies tickets.

I would definitely recommend checking out Anna Calvi.
I saw her on her early in 2012. The woman has some pipes and is a great guitarist. Great songs too.

Would love to see St Vincent play BF. Absolute gun guitarist, a bit extreme left of centre for some, but it’s still rock, no DJ’s or rapping or that kinda thing.. That’s my highlight of Vivid – a festival that was simply non-existent last year.

As for the Pet Shop boys?

The last time PSB’s released a record was in 1989 that’s when most of their fans were 20, (they were a new sound then) fast forward 25 yrs. and the kids have left home – You’ve got some spare cash, the mortgage is under control, the diabetes has been diagnosed and the right medication has finally been sussed out and your gout is manageable. It’s been 20 years since you’ve bothered to turn on the radio, so the PSB’s will sound as fresh and as relevant as they did when they recorded their ground breaking U2 cover of when the streets have no name, what a voice.. no idea what his name is but who cares, he’s a great vocalist…

Life’s never been better. .. Thanks Vivid.

For those who say all female singers are basically rubbish and just stand around half naked singing about being tarts and having mean boyfriends....

I say go see Lauren Hill and St Vincent 2 two absolutely fantastic “female” performers.
