An announcement in this month's Rhythms states that they will not be printing the playing schedule this year.
Instead it will be printed "in house" by the Bluesfest team. A big break from tradition for sure but I'm sure the New format will
be every bit as informative and helpful. But we should acknowledge Rhythms for the many years they have provided us with all
things Bluesfest. Of course the schedule but also the great artists bios which have been massive in helping me steer my way around
the festival year after year. So it's a huge thankyou from me.
Now I wonder when Team Bluesfest will release theirs ?
Cheers,
Don

The beauty about the Rhythms program was that we could get it well in advance. Hopefully the new one will do the same.

My sub must have run out Easter 2013 as I noticed that I had not been getting mags for a while.
Sent them an email about it but no reply.
As for the schedule,I prefer the card Bluesfest supplies on site.
With the lineup this year,if you try to plan in advance, unless you have a narrow agenda,it will not work because of the need to be impulsive.
I look at the card each morning and plan one day at a time.
I agree that the mag is good re artist profiles.

Unfortunately, Walter Trout looks to be still unwell & is not listed for Sunday or Monday as earlier indicated.
Hope we see him another year. Get well Walter.

It wouldn't be Bluesfest without a few Jambalaya crowd explosions...

have just gone through the schedule, i am reasonably happy with what we have been given with a lot more to be added going by the blank spots on the schedule.

a couple notes for the admins.

you currently have eric bibb on friday only doing 45 mins & kasey chambers on sunday only doing 45 mins if you are intending to have a 30 min change between them & the next act. also on the thursday in juke joint it would seem the top 3 names all need to be moved up 15 mins to make the times flow better with the usual 30 min changeover being in place.

of course, as a first draft out there will always be mistakes.

When Warren Haynes played at Bluesfest in 2010 with his solo band, sadly it was only a small crowd. Sad but he played brilliantly. Then Parliament followed !!!!!!!

He played two sets at Bluesfest 2010.
The first was before Dylan which naturally had an enormous crowd.
I wasn't there.
The second set in Jambalaya which I was at, had a smaller crowd but I wouldn't describe it as small.
What was playing at the same time I cannot recall without research.
However bear in mind that it was Warren playing off a sax player,as per that magnificent Robben Ford Set in 2004.
While that mix of instrumentation is where I am at,it appeals to the minority not the majority.

Must have been 2011 a not to be a trainspotter about it or anything. Just that if it had been 2010, I was there and would definitely not missed big Warren

Correct,I just looked up the archives.
So at Bluesfest 2014,the multitude will be there,as the Mule are described as Southern Rock,Blues Rock and Hard Rock.
I will be somewhere else because that isn't my type of music.
Both Robben Ford & The Paladins are on at the same time as the Mule on Saturday.
And Jimmie Vaughan & Erykah Badu on at the same time as the Mule on Sunday.
