Have a safe journey everyone, and a great time once there.

I'm leaving tomorrow morning, but since this is my last chance to post, I thought I'd do so.

To anyone at the Rails from about 1pm on Thursday, I expect I'll be there - the bearded one in a brown hat with my dreadlocked brother (who is about the same size as me). Feel free to say hi, or equally free to not.

Last note - everyone should endeavour to see the Gin Club on Thursday at 6:30 on the APRA stage. Saw them in Sydney last weekend for about the 6 or 7th time, and they are a truly outstanding group of musicians and songwriters who are on a roll. Sound moves through Fleetwood Mac and The Band in parts, with the incomporable Drones being kindred spirits of theirs also. But I list these examples only as a frame of reference

I couldn't agree more with your last note - The Gin Club are awesome (but then I may be biased coming from Brisbane their hometown!

Hope to see you at the Rails - I will be the one in the cast sporting my fav footy team's colours!

So much for "Last Note".......I just checked my email and saw that Banawarun (previously Troy 'n' Trevelyn and the Tribe) have been added on Sunday night. Great news! Anyone who likes high energy with a soul and funk element, give them a look too. Another Australian band worth supporting - I understand that it's a big call to skip a DBT set, but there's always Monday night for them.

And Rabbitoh, I don't suppose you mean the St George Dragons colours??? ;-)

Happy travels to everybody and hope the weekend brings you much joy.

I arrive late Thursday so no joy for Thursday pub action, but if you see me at the fest I shall have my green Phish hat on.

Trumpet bells ringing
Bass drum is swinging
As the trombone groans
And the big horn moans

Dan, sorry I caught this post after I'd left - always keen to share a beer with someone with good taste in bands and football teams :-)

They turned in a pretty bloody good set from where I was standing (which was right at the front)
