Well my biggest BF nightmare has come to fruition. Having purchased one of the first tickets for next year and nurturing it through camping and attending fest this year I can confirm I can no longer find said ticket. BF box office have advised me they do not replace lost or stolen tickets even when i have an electronic receipt. They have indicated they will supply me entrance at gate with ID. Didn't someone else have this problem this year and wrote about getting it sorted? Treat those pre-purchased tickets like gold and do not forget where you
put them to save lots of worry and sleepless nights.

dear spanner.

I feel so bad for you, I also purchased my ticket at the fest & got it through the campgrounds to get home & thankfully put it in a very very safe place which I check once a week just to be sure its still there as its my ticket to see dmb for the first time!

hopefully the bluesfest team can sort you out or even better you find that ticket somewhere in your house :)
regards

tickets are no different than money - they can be used to get entry to an event.

However - if you call the Bluesfest office - and talk to sue - she may have an answer - You WILL need your order id - to do this

Bboard Admin Thank you BF Admin for your response. I have already emailed Sue and provided my order ID. I do understand that tickets are the currency for entry and apologise for my tardiness in not protecting my ticket more vigorously.

I lost my ticket for Bluesfest 2013.
No sweat.
Emailed Bluesfest HQ.
Just rocked up to the ticket booth and it was sweet.

One other year I forgot to bring the ticket with me,so went down to HQ near Red Devil...sweet.

Lost my wallet at Auckland airport 6 weeks ago with all my cards, drivers licence etc.
Can't find Bluesfest 2014 ticket at present so may have been there.
Have printed the receipt off the website.
Will keep looking.

Thanks for the reassurance LR. Sorry about your wallet-replacing your personal records is a real bastard. Hope it all comes back including your ticket.

thanks Waffles for your very generous offer. I took BB Admin's advice and called Sue at box office. She has graciously arranged for my entry next year with appropriate ID. Apparently it is not uncommon when punters purchase 12 months in advance to lose/misplace tickets. Apparently I was about the 3rd this week and was actually complimented by Sue for taking 8 months to lose it as some lose them the week they are posted. So thanks to all for your commiserations and support - full steam ahead to next weeks blues announcement. At least I can sleep now.

Looked in my top office drawer and there was my bright green with red spots passport holder with the kiwi on the scooter on the front.
Inside was the passport & the Bluesfest ticket.

So that means only replacing :
Drivers licence
My eftpos card
Family Trust eftpos card
Work Visa Card
RSA membership card
Real Groovy membership card
Library Card
Tramping membership card
YHA membership card
To be carried from now on in a neck based money bag.
I have been told that the waist ones are easy prey for pickpockets in Argentina.

I note that Woolworths Au [and Countdown NZ] stocks McCashins Saxton Cider from Nelson.
Due to licensing trusts around here,I cannot buy it locally.
Apart from that,Rekorderlig is hard to beat.
I will have to search for Somersby.
I prefer pear to apple.

glad to have given you a laugh hifromtomorrow. To the other posters normally i would purchase reprint able etickets but I don't think I had this option when purchasing early on the first day at the fest this year. Regards the great cider debate I cannot give an informed opinion as I am a beer man. Glad you found your ticket LR..

Looks like I'll have to get my Tramping membership card too.

While indulging in this behaviour occasionally, I had no idea it was regulated.

I hate it when The Man sticks it to me rather than the other way around.

I prefer to print my ticket at the first opportunity and carry it in my pocket at all times. I avoid perishing by not washing my clothes.
