Do you think we have had the "BIG NAME" announcement yet.

Last year was Simon
Year before was Fogerty
Year before that was Dylan

Maybe a Bowie or a Waits????

Might be big, but won't be either of them. As always, hope to be wrong, but can't see it.

Caddie is cool but hardly a headliner. There must be someone big still to come.

We already know it is Sting.
Tom Waits or Van Morrison will not be coming to Au & I understood that Bowie has given up touring so it won't be him.

"An artist never really chooses when and where they will play.It is for promoters to make offers. It comes down as to whether tours are financially viable." Quote John Mayall.

Good one greybeard. God i hope he does some old stuff because I am having great difficulty getting into his recent album The Last Ship that he is currently touring.
it is bloody awful sea shanty stuff not particularly well done.

Sting:
There's a hole in my heart
As deep as a well
For that poor little boy
Who's stuck halfway to Hell.
Sideshow Mel:
Though we can't get him out
We'll do the next best thing.
Rainier Wolfcastle:
We go on TV and sing, sing, sing.
Chorus:
And we're sending our love down the well.
Krusty:
All the way down.
Chorus:
We're sending our love down the well.
Krusty:
Down that well.

I hope he can get all these stars together to perform this great number at blues fest

I know Paul Simon is world famous sold millions of albums but for me the big name last year was Robert Plant his Rock/Blues/Melodic vocals seem to reach into my soul and empower me to fight the forces of evil and spread the seeds of love, I was very happy to see him is Adelaide and he blew my mind, I was also very impressed with the support act Playing for a change. I have been watching the forum with great interest and I guess like other members that the final acts have already have probably already been singed and are just waiting to be announced, if Sting is coming I also hope he doesn't play the sea shanty crap, if he does I will be the first one to walk the plank.

Some acts I would like to see;

Paul Rogers/Jimmy Page
Johnny Winter
Jack White
Buddy Guy
Jeff Beck
David Bowie
Mick Taylor/Ronnie Wood

Breaking news on this front..
http://youtu.be/tMwhl4IrPNc

Trumpet bells ringing
Bass drum is swinging
As the trombone groans
And the big horn moans

Being Australian and living in the best Country in the world which we have now realised you get a bit sick of the idea that overseas is better..I sat through "Dylan" "Michelle shocked" and many others while Melb Ska Orch...Wolfmother..Rockwiz .Hines..Dingoes... Nat Cole... Paul Kelly..Geyer have been far more entertaining and sing about out what we relate to. Is this our festival I hope so!~!

that would be a dream come true for me to see Eddie at bluesfest! but I not able to make it to next years fest so I hope he comes in 2015!!

When you're lost in the rain in Juarez
And it's Eastertime too
And your gravity fails
And negativity don't pull you through
Don't put on any airs
When you're down on Rue Morgue Avenue
They got some hungry women there
And they really make a mess outta you.
