I don't want to hang up my rock n roll shoes
I get a good time feeling every time I hear those blues.

If my memory serves me correctly and it usually does, I saw SRV live in 1985 at Perth Concert Hall. A rocking memory...

Yep I caught him in Perth 1986, along with Jimmy and the Fabulous Thunderbirds.

Met a cabbie who gave him a lift in sydney once.
Said he picked him up at 3am standing in the middle of Oxford Street
wearing his big hat and boots (all the gear)

He said it was the highlight of his life and that SRV was a real "gentlemen"

Write a wise saying and your name will live on forever,,, Anonymous

Stevies first Aus Tour was in 84 I had friends working on it, and he played at the concert hall in Melbourne and it was the first rock act to play there, the promoter had correctly told the venue that SRV was a guitar virtuoso, and the venue thought they were getting some one like Carlos Montoya, it was funny, to see the looks on the faces of the wimpy ushers, when some of the the crowd downstairs got up and stood in front of the stage and would not move back.

He then came back on a double bill in 86 with his brother James and the T Birds supporting which was a fantastic couple of nights at Festival hall in Melbourne, I have a distinct memory of the 2 of them playing the one guitar together at one stage, it was great stuff. The 86 tour was when he made it over to Perth.
