Starting a new music venue for Blues, Jazz, rockabilly and other genres. Come on down to the Blues Shack on the Park at 150 Shaw Road Kalinga Brisbane (Norths Rugby) every Sunday from 1-6 pm. Weekly house band with open mic and full PA and drum kit. Resident house band playing all classic blues and jazz standards including Mayall Bluesbreakers and early Yardbirds.
Great food and drink available at club prices, great company in a chilled relaxing atmosphere and fantastic music assured.
If you are in Brisvegas- catch you at the Blues Shack. Bring your instruments and voice.
We are all regular Bluesfest attendees just wanting to share our passion with live music.

Best of luck Spanner.
Sounds great.

You have too many good bands in Au which can mean that people get complacent about what they have on tap.
Another problem will be that watching sport for most of the population takes precedence over watching music...unless it is a very high profile band which will attract all and sundry.

thanks Waffles all publicity is good publicity. We think we are going to go with The Juke Joint. Not original but it encapsulates the feel we hope to achieve.

Hey Wokstar you are spot on- if you love Robert Johson, Jimi, Stevie Ray, John Mayall, Yardbirds, et al then come on down to the Blues Barn this weekend 28 April from one to six for Brisvegas hottest new juke joint. Oh and bring your instrument to plug into our PA for the open mic session. Look for me behind the bar in this years bluesfest shirt. Love to meet you so come on down for a great blues afternoon.

Wokstar et al - slight change of band for this weekend. The Blues Barn will be featuring Nick Stuarts Crystal Radio Set. Their authentic covers of early British blues and rock will knock your socks off. If you love the Bluesbreakers then this is as close as you can get to the real thing. See you at the Blues Barn at Norths Rugby 150 Shaw Rd. Wooloowin this Sunday arvo 28th April 1-6 pm.

Good luck Spanner1. Being a Sydneysider it's a bit far for a Sunday run, but I'll pass the word to my Qld brothers.
Well done - strength to your arm!

There is no "good" or "bad" music - there is just music.
Live and let live!
