Does anybody know if any of the sets will be webcast/ live streamed on any internet sites? If so please provide links and other info.
Much appreciated
Thankx

Too Bad so many Festivals are being webcast now. Youtube is forking over big bucks for the rights to show them. They would definitely be interested in this one. Annually they stream Coachella, New Orleans Jazz Fest, Bonnarro, Lollapalozza, and also many European Festivals. Hopefully the organizers will try to make this happen in the future.

Here is the Real Deal, some recently archived webcasts from Rosa's Blues Club in Chicago. They also stream them live!! [Warning, they sometimes have trouble opening and playing in certain browsers, if having trouble try in a different browser].
If anybody knows of any venues or festivals which streams archives or live shows [especially non-USA] please post here. Thankx

Enjoy!!

this is my favorite, it contains many of the still living Chicago blues greats,

The festivals you reference are much larger than Bluesfest in terms of attendees. More ticket sales presumably means more cash to play around with....a quality webcast would be a great promotional tool of course, but there's a bit of set up involved and presumably the artists' permission wouldn't come free?

My experience at BF is that the camera coverage is used as a training exercise for the local trade school.

The quality of the coverage improves over the weekend, but most of the official footage that is posted online is heavily post-produced. It is a big step up to expect the same crew to provide a "live" feed that would maintain the high quality that BF would like to provide.

Buddy Guy's Legends in Chicago had there 1st live webcast yesterday.
Check out yesterdays blistering blues set from Buddy Guy's Legends by Vino Louden and Corey Dennison up on archive [they play really nice up on archive]. FYI, in some browsers these have trouble playing. If it doesn't play try a different browser.

Would love something like this as yesterday was my only day at Bluesfest and I feel I am missing so much.

Gotta love an optimist.
Even if it's a live stream I am either there or in a bus queue and I will miss it- so a replay will be better for me.

Having said that, the Coachella Festival livestreams and it is absolutely brilliant as it is about 3 weeks later and the warm fuzzy glow has not evaporated, and you see the same acts in a different context in the comfort of your home.

Yeahh, livestream. But wait 3 days. After all, it is Easter and live means 3 days suspended animation.
