With BF getting closer by the day I thought it would be interesting to see who is looking forward to who. See if you can keep your list to a top ten I know I'm having difficulty!!

Eric Bibb
Seasick Steve
Watermelon Slim & The Workers
Big Bad Voodoo Daddy
CW Stoneking
Blues Traveler
Mick Conways National Junk Band
Paul Kelly
The Easy Star All Stars
Michael Franti & Spearhead (my guilty pleasure if MOJO isn't too crowded)

:) :) :)

Dan Auerbach
The Bamboos
and Fitzy

I think it is safe to say ditto - except I will trade Mic Conway, Paul Kelly and Franti for Lucinda, Zappa Plays Zappa and Ruthie Foster.

I can nearly count the days on my hands.

Trumpet bells ringing
Bass drum is swinging
As the trombone groans
And the big horn moans

I think it will be interesting to see what each of our top ten is after Easter, because I guarantee mine won't be the same! And that's what makes this festival the best!

In some kind of ranking order (though this changes regularly):

Lucinda
Zappa plays Zappa
Booker T/Drive By Truckers
Sonny Landreth
Hot Club of Cowtown
James Hunter
Watermelon Slim
The Bamboos

Then the stuff that I've seen before, but very much look forward to seeing again
Ruthie Foster
Eric Bibb
Anything that Eric and Ruthie perform together
Terrence Simien
TJ White

But the main point is, I'm very satisfied with my planned schedule as it stands. Plenty to see as always

In a (very) vague order:

Tinariwen
Alpha Blondie
Lucinda W
Booker T
Drive By Truckers
Sonny Landreth
Watermelon Slim
The Bamboos
The Blind Boys
Seasick Steve

... and then it just gets too hard

Against my better judgement I'm considering a revisit to the soundings of the Talented Mr Harper (if only to catch Tinariwen's second set!)

I can't figure out how to catch Zappa Plays Zappa, Fishbone, Paul Kelly or Mic Conway (which shows the embarrassment of talent on offer).

I definately will not be seeing the X Man, The Frantichrist, or the (former) pseudo-feral, (although I almost thought the last of that three warranted a more serious look when forced to watch him last year.)

try and see as many as possible, and definately visit every tent to see all levels(local, overseas etc)
sometimes the best performances are from little known acts.

I don't want to hang up my rock n roll shoes
I get a good time feeling every time I hear those blues.

Spot on - It's not who you go to see but who you come away with.

Trumpet bells ringing
Bass drum is swinging
As the trombone groans
And the big horn moans
