Brian Setzer in any guise is still one of the best acts to have graced the BF stage. I loved him and was not the biggest rockabilly fan pre that set

I'd like to see him with the orchestra. The dirty boogie is still one of my favourite summertime albums.

Trumpet bells ringing
Bass drum is swinging
As the trombone groans
And the big horn moans

Los Straitjackets were booked to play at Bluesfest one year, but did not appear.
Now they are coming back, with Big Sandy.
Unfortunately not to Bluesfest.

He was gobsmackingly unbelievable in that set, even with the sound issues at the beginning.
(((One of my top five bluesfest moments))) Get him back anytime in anything,,,,,,,,,,

And their first Gold Record was in Finland.
Only one problem with this gig.
Rumble in Hel-Sink-I does not flow as well as Rumble in By-Ron.

Given the Au culture, must have some chance of coming back sometime.
Though as with Nikki Hill, the fact that they played only Bluesfest,is not a good sign.

I would love to see them again, I had to leave early the first time C.H. played.
This is the main reason why we always camp on site nowdays.

Santa brought my darling spouse some Paul Kelly and The Merri Sessions. Dan Sultan, and Stray Cats. I thought "good One Santa". My children and spouse have immediately screamed "Rat" and reported Santa to ICAC. I'll be out in 6 months.

Ben Harper first played Bluesfest in 1995.
First time I heard of him was on Jools Holland in 1995 or 1996.
But there was someone a lot more interesting to me on that same show.
Played three tracks.

That's a great question to ask Ranger.
Are we a little under resourced in this category this year or is it just me???

I'll also be looking for an increase in the use of the cow bell as well. Last year was decidedly lacking!

I think we may be onto something spaceman.
All we need do now is combine the two styles ... If our ears can tolerate that for 10 hours we should be able to handle anything musical they throw our way over easterBoo hoo!
