I was tempted to come over last year for Los Straitjackets but didn't.
Greazefest tickets on sale soon.
The only problem is if they are playing last spot, the last train back to Brissie means you miss the last act of the day.

I live on the Gold Coast and am more than happy to help you out with that if you need a hand,
We will probably only go on the days the Paladins perform though

We can talk about this at the pub on Wednesday,
(although I didn't recognize anyone from the forums last year)

Sounds great.
Paladins are only playing Saturday.
We only go to the Rails on Thursday.
Waffles & Johnnymac's team are always there.
Tuesday is generally fly-in day though last year because I missed my flight,it was Wednesday.

Don't like the chances of the Reverend coming back to Au within 12 months of his last visit, but I like his latest video clip.
Unfortunately the 50s wasn't as a rule as racy as those girls make out.
It was a pretty grey conformist decade for most.

The Reverend would be excellent but I would also love to see Chris Cheney team up with Brian Setzer for a rockabilly explosion.

With the stadium having its rebuild after snow collapsed the roof,I don't think I will be joining the tuxedo crowd to watch these guys as the first advertised gig.

An much more exciting version by admittably a much younger band, but with somewhat more talent & expertise.

I have an ethical issue with people loading entire DVDS onto Youtube.
I think it should be squashed.
With Tokyo having a population the size of the 4 largest Au cities combined, and Japan having a population 6 times that of Au,
it is logical that the passion of the Japanese wins the day,and that that city gets 3 gigs.
I was surprised that outfits the size of the Jools Holland Orchestra & Maceo Parker Big Band have played at Bluesfest.
Given that there was no sound for the first 2 songs for Setzer at Bluesfest,I would settle for a less costly 2 Rockabilly Riot Sets.

If they played the last two days of BF before doing dates across Oz that could fill in some of the time before they start in Japan, but the gap in dates looks about 5 or 6 days too much.

Trumpet bells ringing
Bass drum is swinging
As the trombone groans
And the big horn moans

Yes, hence my "we can but dream" comment :)

When is Brian Setzer due back downunder.
Love those Double Bass duels.
Next time we need two sets at Bluesfest.
Plus be able to hear the first two songs.
Big black cross for sound crew at that set.
