We are hearing this is going to be an announcement of mainly younger artists - current artists - plus a couple of 90's artists -with some real headliners.
However, knowing Bluesfest - those isted in announcements CAN change, literally overnight.
Word is there may be ANOTHER announcement the following week to this week as well.

On The Basement Mailing list by any chance?

Wait, so does than mean 2 more announcements before Christmas? My partner and I said we were going to go by ourselves this year. Thus far we're a party of 8 and it's still going up!!! Anyone got a 10 bedroom mansion in New Brighton we can borrow?

Dear Eileenk9,
I offer these names without any great conviction.
1.Alanis Morissette
2.Pearl Jam
3.Green Day.
4.Nick Cave and the bad seeds.
5.Dave Matthews Band

When they go low-we go high.

Saw Michael Franti couple of years back at BF. He was waaaayyyyy better than I expected him to be. I'd definitely see that again.

Unrelated, but please please please get Katchafire to play. And have them play early in the day when the sun is still high.

There were lots of Eddie Vedder rumours early on. Pearl Jam really would take the bill from the sublime to ridiculous. ooooh Sublime by any chance?

I do get The Basement mailings but those names come from the
Bluesfest > Artists>BF Touring web page matched to the Artists Play schedule (and hopefully the announced page)

It won't be Pearl Jam as much as I would love it to be. 90's artists - would love to see Counting Crows in there somewhere but I might be asking for too much

90's band The Presidents of the United States of America wil be down under in march.
So far the bands last gig is in freemantle on the 16th of march so it may be a stretch for them to stick around for bf.

Or how about some Barenaked Ladies for bf(be good to see the band as well)d'oh!
