I'm gutted to hear that.... R.I.P indeed

I never got to see him live but I loved the one record I had of his. I don't even remember what it was called but I played it till it died from over-use :-)

The Avett Brothers Please!!!!
they finish off a european tour in march! they should be free

When you're lost in the rain in Juarez
And it's Eastertime too
And your gravity fails
And negativity don't pull you through
Don't put on any airs
When you're down on Rue Morgue Avenue
They got some hungry women there
And they really make a mess outta you.

John Mayer should be back on the stage by easter so would be a good location for him to start again.

There are endless older acts that I would be very happy to see but I would like the next announcement to target the younger set.
My older daughter knows a lot of the acts and is happy with line up so far but her younger (not much) is not too fazed at this stage.

Thanks you once again Mr N. I thought last year was the strongest I had been to (about my 5th) but I am sure that this year will better that.

Murder by Death - Some great sounds from this band - http://murderbydeath.com/discography.php

Murder by Death have been a band without musical borders. Theirs is a world where Old West murder ballads mingle with rock-injected Western classicism; where an album’s sequencing can take listeners from a haunted back alley in rural Mexico to a raucous Irish pub. http://au.myspace.com/murderbydeath

Iron and Wine would be great, as would Old Crow Medicine Show.

Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion man...

Happy Days!! I really like their debut album

I originally put this in the six stages topic but it is relevant here as well
Usually they have about 6-8 acts per day on each stage, when you look at the schedule it is not even half full.
There are still a lot more artists to be announced, of course we still don't have any Aussie announcement yet.
Keeps getting better.

Is 2013 the year we can finally hear the most glorious solo in modern rock? (cue about 3:15 and on it goes)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T8Boxkxvoos

Trumpet bells ringing
Bass drum is swinging
As the trombone groans
And the big horn moans
