I am guessing a big name Australian artist to headline Sunday night. This is usually the day reserved for local artists.

New or newish albums from the following ..

Paul Kelly
Black Sorrows
Missy Higgins
Kasey and Shane
Kate Miller Heidke

and some "older" australian artists that would be most welcome ..

Brian Cadd & Russell Morris (maybe a tribute to Daryl Cotton)
Masters Apprentices
Bushwackers
Redgum
Dingoes
Country Radio

maybe not headlining but sure would like to catch some of those on a lazy sunday afternoon just like richard clapton last year who was sensational in his time slot. have
just seen kmh and she has one of the best rhythm sections in the country in her new band.

would go to see any of these great aussie artists

also would love to have Mia Dyson back (been a long time)

and Carice Eden - great bluesy voice would fit in at bluesfest and nice way to promote some new talent.

I'd be happy with ANY of the above (on any day, not just Sunday)- too bad you were shot down in flames by Mr Admin

Perhaps some more guesses are required of artists more likely to fit the mould of what is required in Mojo.

"An artist never really chooses when and where they will play.It is for promoters to make offers. It comes down as to whether tours are financially viable." Quote John Mayall.

Do yourself a favour Bluesfest and add Jaimi Faulkner, no relation to Newton Faulkner, to the artists for 2013 if you haven't done so already. I know for a fact he will be in Australia during March so please make it happen.Pray

Tex Perkins - either Beasts or Dark Horses or even his Johnny Cash tribute

Yep, I second Tex and his Johnny Cash show!! And Tim Rogers would also work in well with Bluesfest with a set of his Temperance Union / solo tunes or even a selection of You Am I blues-rock classics...

Both are Aussie music legends!

Insiders tell me that Midnight Oil will headline but awaiting Kevin to announce a lead-singer spill.

Trumpet bells ringing
Bass drum is swinging
As the trombone groans
And the big horn moans

Was that an obscure political comment, or just an obscure comment ?Think

Burning the Midnight Oil is now an unacceptable environmental risk.

Heading out for the East Coast / Lord knows I've paid some dues gettin' through, / Tangled up in blues.
