Indeed - saw him last night in Windsor with Ray Beadle & Eugene Hideaway Bridges. Huge guy with voice even bigger! Highly recommended...

Most sunny with 30 percent chance of rain on Saturday and 50 percent chance on Sunday. Looks ok to me.

while i didnt catch everyone i wanted to see, those that did impress were
matt andersen-thanks for the heads up on this guy, thought he was great.
tabasco tom & doc white with broderick smith-would be great in apra.
kim churchill -loved the voice-a crowd favorite.
stevie paige.
phil emmanuel-especially his surf guitar.
jeff lang-always good

a special mention to chase the sun and nat cole and the king-what a waste putting them on in jupiters and then having an 85db limit.i didnt stick around for blue shaddy but i heard they were ill on the friday nite.

unfortunately about 11 pm we were taken to this haunt
http://www.maxbrenner.com.au/ i dont know if you are familar with these places but be warned! the munchie devil lives there!

Dammit - for once I was in the country, but just far enough away that other committments meant I couldn't get there.
Matt Anderson just blew the last Woodford away (momma bring your cookie home to me!)
Don't think Stevie Paige has had a mention here before? - just loved her solo set at the last BOB I was at, maybe 4-5 years ago?. Was she solo, with band, or both this time?
And don't know that I'll ever be able to hear Kim Churchill in quite the same way again after the gorgeous Ashleigh Mannix song at Bluesfest about getting it on with him which may have just crossed the "too much information" line ;)

Can I suggest fans of Matt check out some of those bootleg music sites previously listed on another thread for some live shows

Thanks again greybeard for the reminder -might have to organise a couple days off work. Anyone else going. Might be good to hook up with some fellow bf comrades for a few bevies. So much to like on this line up but really looking forward to Russell doing Sharkmouth and catching up with Andrew Winton, Mal Eastick, Moss,Phil Emmanuel et al. Pretty cruisy gig this one and all free

the blues supergroup on the sunday looks o.k.

pretty sure ill be going, this will be my fifth.

book accomodation early, and be aware they jack the prices up for rooms close to broadbeach.sometimes its better to catch a cab and get a cheaper room.

I am definately going to Broadbeach. The band I work for, Nat, Col and the Kings, are playing again this year. There was some great music up there last year. :d/
