1 - My Blackest Day - Joanne Shaw Taylor - shame about the rest of her sets though - where was the "stoked to be with you" smile from last time?
2 - You Don't Know Me at All - Bettye LaVette
3-4 - The two shuffles that opened Bettye's second set
5 - Has to be something from Great Big Sea so happy to go with Night Paddy Murphy Died as mentioned earlier

Would LOVE to have included the loan arranger's "Bring That Thing" but sad to say Harry Manx must have already done it before I got to Jambalaya

Betty Lavette - It's your turn to cry
Kenny WS - Yer Blues
CSN - Almost cut my hair
Yes - Roundabout
Dave Bromberg - don't know the name of the song but it was hilarious. It finished with a long rave about how he wouldn't be with some women till all sorts of things happened or whatever.
Just remember I laughed a lot.

If you're not having fun, you're missing the point

I'm not sure this thread is about lyrics specifically, but Bromberg would have to be there if it is.

Something like:
I'm not a lawyer but I'll get you off until your lawyer gets here.

My fave 6 where in no peculiar order. These were based on Bluesfest peformance of songs.

John Fogerty- Run Through The Jongle (Could have put entire track lists from both gigs, this was an overall highlight)
Hat Fitz & Cara- Nobodies Fault But Mine (Cara's incredible voice gave me goosebumps on this one from Thursday evening)
The Pogues- The Band Played Waltz Sing Matilda (The young people ask what are they marching for, and I ask m'self the same question)
Buddy Guy- Skin Deep (Buddy's brilliance)
Blackbirds- Glory Box (originally Portishead song)
Brian Setzer Riot- Stray Cat Strut (ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh)

You are on the wrong thread Bob.
It is about listing your five favourite songs from the Festival.
