One more good thing I forget to mention. That springy bitumen just outside the bar between Mojo and Crossroads - makes me fell happy every time I walk over it (and not just cos it's near the bar).

I second this

for some reason when I hit a particularly squishy spot I want to go back and step on it again...

Just correlating your 2 posts dtucker. If you were to hear Rosie Ledet on the springy bitumen you would be at your happiest!

It was like that last year too for the first day or two, then it rained and 100,000 pairs of feet flattened it rock hard.

I don't remember the squishy roads last year... but all I can say is, I don't remember a Bluesfest where it didn't rain... except this year! :o

thats because it wasent there last year-a great improvement. i think the squishness is from the bitumen going wider than the road base.
funny the things you amuse yourself with between bands.

I don't want to hang up my rock n roll shoes
I get a good time feeling every time I hear those blues.

yeah, didn't think it was there last year... wasn't going to argue the fact :/

i like how in the lead up there were heaps of posts about "We've ramped up the drainage this year! Can't wait for you guys to check it out."

Not a drop. :D

Wrong. There were a few sprinkles of rain over the Mojo tent before Fogerty's set last night which lasted all of 10 minutes. :)

There's the answer to the song, then... Mr Fogery will stop the rain.

Didn't notice it... I was front and centre, for the Fog. Boojah! :D

On Thursday last year there was a layer of black..road-base? about 4-5" thick between Mojo and Crossroads
as well as in other spots. It wasn't bouncy and it didn't cover the whole area,
and it did tread down after 4-5 days.
