All reports from the Timbre Rock 'N Roots music Fest Singapore are that Earth Wind & Fire blitzed in a 90 minute performance
that featured hit after hit, in one of the GREAT performances by one of the world's greatest bands.
They are the top selling Black Music Band of all time - with over 90 milion records sold.
AND, it's funk and soul - not disco.
Can't wait

hmmmm. makes the clash with CSN a lot easier-not.

I don't want to hang up my rock n roll shoes
I get a good time feeling every time I hear those blues.

After having read about David Crosby having voice issues, and having seen the Fabulous Thunderbirds on Thursday,I decided to venture into Mojo to see the start of EWF for 15 minutes, with the thought that if I did not like it,I could attend CSN at 10.30.
I could not see much from the back of the tent apart from the fact that there was a large ensemble of musicans.
The screens cannot do justice to a band of this size.
After some moves further in, so I could see what was going on,the colour, choreography, vocal harmonies, horn section, sheer number of percussionists, guitarist quality, convinced me that I was watching something real special.
The fact that some of the songs are a bit commercial for my tastes was completely irrelevant.
Everything else was simply sensational.
Their stature in musical history is clearly justified.
What would I compare them to ?
Santana sprung to mind.
Carlos of course is unique.
Apart from that,I would rate them above Santana.
