Tickettek are now offering 40% discount for the Melb concerts. I was going to wait till bluesfest to see one of my favourite bands (missus didn't want me spending another $135 on top of bluesfest). Then the 40% offer came in and, lo and hehold, the missus bought me and her tickets for the Friday show. Really looking forward to seeing them again. They always put on a good show. Now I'll get to see them twice.
As I'm driving up it's the only BF side show I have a chance to see. Would have loved to catch Dweezil as well. I always go and see him. Still a little annoyed that he's only getting an hour at BF. Should've been 90 mins
Still we can't have everything, an hour's better than none. And I do get to see CSN twice.

The four components of the marketing mix are product, price, promotion and place.

"An artist never really chooses when and where they will play.It is for promoters to make offers. It comes down as to whether tours are financially viable." Quote John Mayall.

NZ's top reviewer Graham Reid said to me they get him to review the oldies.
I'll be there on Friday night.
David Crosby "Almost cut my hair."
Hope we get to hear it.

Went to the show last night. Unfortunately David Crosby is sick and was unable to sing. He croaked a few words out saying how much he wanted to sing and how upsetting it was for him not to be able to.
The show was still pretty good, though at times Steven Stills vopice sounded a bit reedy and also on the way out. I hope and pray that they are all well by BF. Still a week doesn't seem like a lot of time for a 70 year old to clear up a throat infection/larangitis or whatever ir is. I have my fingers crossed and am saying a few silent prayers. Lets all send David some healing thoughts and energy.

Last nights show was padded out a bit because of this, quite a few extended SS guitar solos. NO almost cut my hair or Deja vu of course. Also he adds the real bass oomph to the vocals that was sadly missing. My wife said it was a bit more like a rocky Simon and Garfunkle (vocally) without the meat of DC's voice. We still enjoyed it and especially the audiance sing along.

Get well David. We love you.

Considering David Crosby's age, historic lifestyle and medical history,it is amazing he is still with us.
If you cannot sing, flow the example of Leonard Cohen and just speak the words.
But if you cannot talk, that is a problem.
