Hi all!!

This is my first time at Bluesfest and I will be there as a volunteer... is anybody else out there in ForumLand a vollie? I will also be travelling there and camping by myself so if anyone else is a lone Bluesfester get in touch and we can meet up and share some good times!

Cheers
Tammy.

Should no past volunteers reply I'm sure you'll be fine

Probably you'll be in a team with similar shifts and a little slack, allowing you to get friendly

The paying public are a good crowd and making conversation should be no problem
as long as there is NOT an act playing. The same goes for the campsites.

Remember with the different tents and different tastes in music and how much crowd one has tolerance for,
even established groups often go their own way on occasion.

Heading out for the East Coast / Lord knows I've paid some dues gettin' through, / Tangled up in blues.

Hi Tammy!

I'm going to Bluesfest solo as my husband is busy coaching rugby league this year. So if you would like to meet up let me know and I will send you my contact details.

Cheers

Hey Tammy, Jen & Janelle
I did volunteer, got a gig, found out there were no refunds so withdrew from the vollie team..
On my own @ the festival, so would really love to meet up with other 'solos', even to wave to as we're passing by...
Feel free to contact if you want
Cheers
Jo

Hey dude

I was a volly last year if you need to know anything.

Its a pretty sweet deal. You get put in groups and given shifts. The work itself is pretty bludgy. I was wristbanding the first few days, recycling for the next 2 and working at a merch store the last day.

They give you food vouchers and bottles of water and stuff. The recycling job was okay - you're just walking around the festival for 4-5 hours picking up cans. I turned it into a soccer game, kicking cans into piles and stuff... Gotta keep yourself amused somehow!

I got K-Rudd money this year so I got a ticket, but otherwise I'd be there working again. Can't pass up a free ticket!

Hi Dan!

He wishes he could coach the Bunnies but he will have to be content with Caloundra for now. You will be able to spot me at Bluesfest very easily ... I broke my right wrist and my cast is red and green stripes!

Glory Glory to South Sydney

HI. I'm also a vollie camping solo. Sounds like we're gonna have a blast.
Do u realise a weather person is the only job a person who can be 90% wrong and not get the sack.
Keeping this in mind the weather should be fine & warm
Will have a great time anyway.
I'll be the one struggling with the tent. any assist will be happily accepted x

I'll gladly help with your tent. Im a first time vollie (not camping did'nt get a camping stop) solo.

Neither rain, nor snow, nor sleet, nor hail will stop us from having fun.
